Etobicoke Youth Choir
Heather MacLeod

Heather is a Toronto based accompanist and piano teacher. Her first few notes on the piano were played at the tender age of 4. By the time she was 15, she was touring throughout Canada and the United States with a 50 voice youth choir based in Weston, Ontario.  Holding an Honours Certificate in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory, Heather has thrived as accompanist for the Canadian Opera Company’s summer camps, performing such works as Turandot, La Boheme, Hansel and Gretl, and The Magic Flute.

Heather currently is the organist and Choir Assistant at Central United Church, and has been teaching Piano, Flute and Trumpet at Toronto’s prestigious Crescent School since 1999.  She is an active trumpet player with The Mississauga Pops since 1992, having been delighted to have shared the stage with such greats as Dinah Christie, Peter Appleyard and Luba Goy.

With a dedicated passion for music, Heather runs a successful home studio where she prepares her students for RCM exams, competitions, and festivals.  She is a well-known professional accompanist for Royal Conservatory exams, Kiwanis Music Festival and auditions.

When time allows, Heather can be found at the barn, riding her horses, and spending time with her children.
